Epi 004: How to honor yourself & your baby with Madre Jaguar.

Losing our pregnancy or baby is hard and it feels unreal. How can this happen to me? Why would this happen to us? I desire to be a parent so what the hell is wrong with me or my body.

Nothing is wrong with you. There is much I can share scientifically however, I don’t feel what is needed at the time.

It’s okay to pause and allow yourself to think or feel or even freeze. I wanted to share and invite an amazing guest Madre Jaguar. She will be sharing how to honor yourself and your baby through a loss.

Welcome to Radical Rebel Midwife Podcast-Blog.

Where we have real raw conversations all about Women’s Health, puberty to menopause, which includes Teen, Childbearing years (fertility, pregnancy, and birth), Postpartum, Parenting, Emotional Healing, and Women’s Health.

I am your host Stephanie Duran de Rodriguez, a mother of six children of 18 years old to 4 years old and two angel babies. She educates and supports BIPOC families regardless of her dyslexia as a Full-Spectrum Reproductive Coach, Emotional Healer, Student Midwife, and she is the founder of Latinx Women’s Health.

Who is our guest?

Madre Jaguar is a Reiki Master, Shamanic Healer, Clairvoyant, Tarot Reader, Teacher, Birth Doula, and Intuitive Artist.

Madre Jaguar has always walked between worlds. They are the child of Salvadoran immigrants; of Mayan, Pipil, and Garifuna descent. Born in the vortex of Los Angeles, California, raised in Puebla City, and currently reside in Tepoztlan, Morelos in Mexico.

Nature was their first teacher. Most of their childhood was spent observing and studying the cycles and seasons of Earth, connecting and experimenting with the energy of the elements, animals, herbs, plants, flowers, rocks, crystals, and beings seen and unseen. As a child, their maternal grandmother, Mama Carlota, taught Madre Jaguar ways to communicate with the plant kingdom; to sing to them, and to listen to their songs. Their Abuela also taught them ways in which these plant allies could be used to treat all kinds of ailments from a tummy ache to a broken heart.

As an adult, a passion for helping others and a strong desire to help propel positive change in the world led Madre Jaguar on a path of self-discovery and exploration of different healing modalities including Tarot, Traditional Mexican Medicine, Energy Healing, Folk Magic, Womb Wisdom, and Herbalism. They have studied with indigenous healers and teachers in Mexico, Central America, and Peru. It was in the Amazonian jungles of Peru where they received the name “Madre Jaguar,” which translates to Jaguar Mother. This name was gifted by plant spirits with the mission and commitment to become a protector and friend to all.

Madre Jaguar believes that Love is our superpower. As human beings, we are here to bless and be blessed by all of creation. Harmony and Joy are our birthrights. Through their healing practice, readings, classes and projects Madre Jaguar’s goal is to help you connect with the inner power, wisdom, and magic that lies within; all while helping you remember your Divine origin and unique soul purpose.
